    Those were designed ages ago and clearly dont go along with modern forums and of course this community. So, what do u think we should change in our rules to go along to modern days and this community?

    Putted some thought into it, there might be something to add but here is what I thought about so far:

    Gamers4Life.com rules:


    • Respect all the users, any kind of disrespect towards any member shouldn't be tolerated[1]
    • Scammers / cheaters won't be tolerated.[2]
    • Don't spam. [3]
    • Use appropriate language, excessive flaming won't be tolerated. [1]
    • Does someone bother you? use the report feature, do not start a flame war.[1]
    • Don't accuse anyone of anything without any proof.[1]
    • Gamers4Life.com isn't taking any responsibility for any type of trade, be careful with your trades!
    • Sharing URLs to different communities is forbidden. [3]
    • Do not share personal, pornographic pictures etc. [4]
    • Do not post referral links. [3]
    • Do not disrespect any religion or a race. [4]
    • We urge you to don't share your Gamers4Life account(s), if it ends up banned because one of your "friends" decides scamming another user with your name, it won't get unbanned.[2]




    Consequences of violation of any of the rules above:
    First Offense Second Offense Third offense Fourth offense Fifth offense Final offense
    [1] Disrespect, accusing a different user without a proof, starting a flame war. A warning from the staff. 1-day ban. 3 days ban. 7 days ban. 30 days ban Permanent ban.
    [2]Scamming/cheating. Permanent ban.
    [3] Sharing a URL to a community like ours, referral links, Spamming. A warning from the staff. 1-day ban. 3 days ban. 7 days ban. 30 days ban. Permanent ban.
    [4] Sharing personal, pornographic pictures and so on. 15 days ban. 30 days ban. Permanent ban.


    Also, it might depend on the case.. mods/admins should be able to decrease or increase the punishment.

    Well yeah. Not everyone is mature here, and we should use infraction system, and higher tolerance. I wouldnt like to see here personal bias ban sprees as we've seen in the past, and that has reduced this community active member base greatly.

    Arguments, drama and flaming should only warrant a moderator's action if the posters incur into:
    -Heavy derail of a 3rd party thread (does not count if the thread opener is involved in the argument)
    -Ad hominem attacks (can't deal with logic? better insult someone's intelligence)
    -Personal information attacks (posting pictures, IRL address, paypal or anything that violates ones privacy)
    -Religion or race themed attacks (the most destructive kind of flame war, btw turks are not a race!)


    Implemented restrictions for newer players...
    -Minimum message length increased from 10 to 25 characters
    -Flood control between regular posts increased to 1 to 5 minutes.
    -Flood control between threads created increased to 1 to 20 minutes.
    -Private messages are disabled temporarily.
    -Updated restrictions regarding the usage of the marketplace and the private server section.

    New members requirements before having access to the private message feature:
    -25 posts.

    New members requirements before having access to the marketplace and private server section:
    -Account with at least 2 months since its creation date.
    -Introduction posted in the New members section with a guide that will be added later.

    New members requirements before removing the minimum post length penalty:
    -50 posts.

    New members requirements before removing the increased length between regular posts / threads created flood control:
    -80 posts.

    Let permanent bans be the last resort against a specific user. Forum section bans, temporary bans, pm disabling, mutes, thread creation restrictions and flood controls can all be used instead.

    As a new rule for mods. We definitely need rule for staff to vote on every bann that isn’t 100% proven scammer. Also staff should leave reasons for any other bann which is obvious, such as bots, spam, posting some illegal shit – in special topic as we had that before.
    “ban stick topic” in mod area. So other staff members could easily check every bann up.

    Ive put that in my promises, and so Im putting this suggestion here.

    Please add to rules Page with User online, not only count, for fix the "fake user" thanks to PSKO.

    Not a single server could advertise here if we added a rule like that. You cannot be 100% certain about the user count so it's just safer to see it for yourself.
