I'm not sure it it's suggested already but I'm pissed of those wannabe scammers that are spamming every single topic to get posts. My suggestion is to limit posting to 20 - 25 posts per day or so.

how will i ever pass phantomlink if i can only post 20-25 times per day?
i say disable registration. everyone that matters is already registered. everyone else is just scammers or turks or people that got banned using a different name

Limits can be places, but I dont see much of a use for a "maximum" a user can post a day
And Giga you wont pass me :x I dont even have an average of 20 posts a day anyways
Well now they can spam up to 100 posts per day if they're lucky enough not to get banned for it. Most of here are trusting ppl with 400+ posts so it would take only few days for spammers to get that post count. When they reach "400 posts" they will most likely start scamming people because they will be trusted more than the zero posters. This is just an example and I'm not saying that it happens but it's a possibility. Yeah, close registration, only people that ask admin/mod can get invited.

What if the servers go down 25post would go in 1hour limiting the number of people responded as well as the chance 2 increase the amount of usefull content on the forums.

a posting limit per day is pointles :P and.. i am sorry but i dont see how anyone posting pure spam 100 posts aday could get a way with it.
besides trusting people becuase of post count is retarded. respecting people shure, but you should never trust someone because they have the time to post crap. 50% (at least) of posts are spammish on here anyways but that is (i think) part of the way the commmunity is built. when i first came here it was aggrevating to scroll through 20 "sex pls" posts but im used to it now and its kinda funny. i have noticed that most of the people with 1000+ post counts reply to anyting and everything with about 3-5 words... not complaining jsut saying that post count is meaningless and should not be a basis for trust.

Better set a limit where you can not post in General until you have +250 posts. It would clean General from noobie TOPICS/posts.
It is easier to identify spammers in other sections.
