U can try to install usko, patch it to 1737. And then put the patch 1737 > 1740.

Server ini should be like that :

I've uploaded the english patch some time ago on koranking.com, i dont feel uploading it again just copied the link,
hope it still works, here the link:

And about the english patch, just follow the following steps below:

First step

- before u paste the english patch u have to copy a file called "UIs_jp.tbl" from the orginal japanese patch.
- U can find the file in the KO folder under "Data"
- seach the "UIs_jp.tbl" file and paste it on ur desktop

Second step
- copy the Data + UI folder from the english patch and paste it in the KO folder
- overwrite all files

Thrid step

- copy the "UIs_jp.tbl" file
- paste it in the KO folder under "Data"
- login in game

Anyways if u using the english patch from the start u wouldnt recieve those stuffs
