Cat or Ravager?

I really wanted to know this question for a long time,some say cats,others say ravager...Finally WoWHead came up with the "Pet Comparison Table"
Check out this page,shows the types of the pets with their DMG,ARMOR,HP,Skills etc; CLICK HERE

CATamage +10--Armor 0--Health -2%
Ravageramage +10--Armor +5--Health -7%

Also they have some different skills

CAT:Growl,Cower,Dash,Bite,Claw,Prowl

Ravager:Growl,Cower,Dash,Bite,Gore



So whats the best pet out of those 2 to have?
Best pet for Battlegrounds?
Best pet for Arena?


Don't bring up other pets like Raptors or Scropians,just CAT + RAVAGER

If you are doing arena, you absolutely must use a scorpid. Anything else is gimping yourself massively. As for otherstuff, i imagine that cat is slightly better than ravager but im not sure.

yeah, arena is definitely a scorpid. Pretty sure you only train scorpid poison and the rest goes into resists and stam or w/e for the pet. The poison makes it harder to remove viper sting so its win.

yeah,i heard a Scorp is a must in Arena

atm using a king bangledash (cat)...but i see lots using ravagers and people saying that ravagers are better,then the other side says cats......need to know !

Well, as a 70 i was told to use a ravager for its high dps. i prefer to use a cat, train it in prowl b/c it gives extra damage if it attacks from stealth. when WotLK comes out, the pet talent tree for the cats look a little more useful than the one for ravagers, tho imo.

Atm i have a 70 cat, scorp and ravager. Im using the ravager atm, i think its dps is the better of the two. But really the ravager and cat are great pets. Up to you really.

ravager is better than a cat if you spec for focus regen on crit

cat is hard to play, in my opinion
