Cataclysm officially announced!
So basically the old WoW will be gone and it's no longer focused in raiding or pvp.. For some reason I don't really like this.
whered u get its not focused in raiding or pvp? if anything i think theyve left raiding as it is now and expanded on pvp...there will be a lot more focus on bg's than just honor farming like it used to be, like back when marks from bg's actually bought u things worth buyingOriginally Posted by Dark3lf

Just to let you know, they ruined raiding after TBC was released :P they made it too casual and easy to raid / pvp
Like everyone on aionsource says this is blizzards desperate way to keep wow players play wow instead of aion xD

to be honest aion looks like shit...it looks like itd get boring as fuck after a month maybe 2 months..i see no long term game play for aion whereas for wow theres always more challenges :/ hard modes of bosses new instances coming out every couple months lately then theres achievements to go for etc and on top of all that theres pvp
though i think if they go the wrong way with cataclysm theyll lose a LOT of players since theyre basicly redesigning the whole itemization and gameplay of wow
Exactly. Personally I'm moving to D3 as soon as it's out so I'm not too bothered about it.
Actually to tell you the truth, Aion will most likely be a slightly short term gameplay until Old republic comes out, From what I see They will have a hard time trying to combat a Bioware MMORPG lol. Actually, If anyone was meant to make a mmo - it would be bioware. Even the leveling up sounds neat, I can't wait to see their thing on PvP and shit :P.

WoW wont die. Even if they lost 3/4 of their subscribers they are still one of the biggest, then we talking about 9M people here.
Blizzard has always been one of the smartest company's, where games like AoC and Aion one of the so called 'wow killers' mostly focus on the hardcore gamers, WoW focus on the casual gamer, that's why WoW won't die anytime soon.

No way, I mostly agree with the updates they do. If everything was still the same as pre-tbc alot of people would have quit, why spend 4 years and still doing the lvl 60 raids?
to be honest, i dont see myself coming back to wow for this expansion. with tbc/wotlk they killed some of the game, and now i think there killing some of it off even more.
yeah some things there doing for it looks cool. but yeah. still. doubt ill be back to play it.
