I played with my friends 5/7/49 destro lock.... Was pretty fun...
Against fire mages/shadow priests/some melees (except stunlocking combat rogues with iWin CDs) was a piece of cake. Instant shadow bolt, soul leech, fire/shadow immunity did pretty fine...
But i was a free honor target for ice mages sadly...

PvP - SL/SL
PvE - Destro if you have enought spell hit
PvE - Affli if you dont have enough spell hit lolz

It really all comes down to what you want, do you wanna be a Tanklock? or do you wanna be one of those locks who goes in hard and fast but die quite easilly if theyre alone.

And for pve, it has nothing to do with you having enough spell hit rating, it all depends on which encounters your facing, a pve lock specs for what the guild needs.

Destru lock is for gg burst dps and fire dmg,
Affliction is more shadow/dots, which is really needed for many encounters. But guilds normally balance it out with a few destru and a few affliction.


So let us know what your gonna do in wow, then we can decide which spec you should have.

ofc every1 needs hit rating, except MS warriors. But you dont decide spec after how much spell hit rating you got like you stated...

well currently i am doing good with SL/SL and i am enjoying pvp i can take on 2 ppl quite easily so ill prefere this spec i tried dezuc spec but like you said u are a free honor kill for ice mages and there is alot of them xD
