    depends what im cutting it out from O_o

    magic wand, lasso, or u can go filter>extract and seperate the render frmo the background there(just make sure u go back over ur render with the history brush and fill in whatever of the render u may have cut out on accident)

    eraser, i like getting the best cuts i can, and anti-aliasing the edges makes a huge difference in appearence.

    +4 or so? lol

    i use polygonal lasso. i dont use the other tools cus i have lousy control over the mouse so its more convenient to be able to click and release as opposed to click and drag (like the extract filter, and regular lasso tools)

    depending on the render, i use magic wand / polygonal lasso / magnetic lasso tool
