Help with ps

Well I'm getting a problem and I have absolutely no idea of how to fix it, so maybe u guys know how and help me out
My photoshop is cs3, so the problem is that when im going to "place" my render instead of being placed in its original colors it appears in black and white, also when i drag it when i put it in the rectangular (signature) layer it turns black and white too, so i need some help pls...

You mean when u drag it into the sig? it comes out black and white :S.

Hmm, try ..

On the layers menu in bottom right, there are tabs that say : Layers, Channels, Paths
Click channels, and make sure RGB, red, blue, yellow i think? just make sure they are all ticked.

that is only reason i could think of it doing that,

it sounds like the canvas ur putting it on is set to black and white...

go Image>Mode>RGB Color then try putting your render onto it
