    well i am learning to make sigs and i use gimp coz i dont wanna buy ps
    although i use gimp im following snootchies tutorial, which u can find in the pinned section
    any gimp users out there know how you put in the picture of the girl
    i have got to the backround completed stage but cant figure out how to put in the 'render'

    Im a gimp user as well. Not really sure if im fully understandin ya here, but all you do is just paste your render in. Then go to the Layers Dialog, you will see that ur pasted render is a Floating selection in the layers dialog. Now go to the very bottom left button in that dialog box which looks like a lil piece of paper, push it and that anchors the pasted render into its own layer. Then just move the layer up or down by clicking on it and dragging it or by simply pushing the green up/down arrows at the bottom of the layers dialog. Hope that helps.

    k got to the stage where i have anchored etc
    how to i make the pic transparent so that i will have the pic of the girl with backround
    ill post a few ss just now..

    You need to render her, meaning cut out the background. You can try using planetrenders to find prerendered pics or do it yourself, which in that case, this will help.
    I thought I was the only GIMP user here, we're a small bunch.

    Layer,Transparency, Add alpha channel, if I'm not mistaken. Alpha channel = transparent behind background.
