new hobby of mine: manga cleaning

what is manga cleaning? as the name suggests cleaning the manga :P u take the raw versions(usually scanning from the weekly magazine, or taken from the volume books) and u clean them so they look close to perfect and ready to be translated into english and then uploaded for all those who read the manga to read them

side note: some people clean up the sound effects and translate in english translations for them, but in my opinion that ruins the manga so i dont bother to clean out the sound effects...and in the case of this manga and in this example, the creator tends to use huge sound effects which cover large portions of the image, making ti very difficult to clean without ruining the page

manga&#39;s come out weekly in magazines, people from japan buy them, they upload the images to the net via a scanner, due to scanning the images get really messed up sometimes(2nd example how its all gray and scratchy) or in 1st example double pages dont match up evenly when put together, people clean the manga&#39;s(like i did) to do 2 things: 1) remove all the jap text so that english text can be put in instead, 2) remove any abnormalities that shouldnt be there(like the grayness in the 2nd example, aligning the 2 pictures in the 1st example, etc)

shit is only for the patient.. i was asked to do it a while ago and i gave up.. i&#39;d say just clean up your lines and it is nice.. you can only excel so far into it though.. unless of course you get into colouring and whatnot
