not every sig needs border
and don't do sigs 100% like the tut says,don't depend so much on tuts,coz
u'll never create ur own style like this
Tuts are ok to see how the certain tools are working and what's good to use
in which situation,but not if ur gonna do ur sigs 100% according to 'em
-tbh I had problems after many tuts I've checked out,I was always using
same style-put render as background and smudge/blur it or w/e,then put
render in middle and resize it...disaster,couldn't get off it for a long time
and btw don't always place render in center
as alredy said put Gmaps on lower opacity,even 40% is too much imo
try Black/white Gmap and set it to multiply and opacity u like-20% or so
go to Layer>adjustment layers:there are alot of tools which will improve
sig's colors and overall look
liked v1 more,colors were better in there imo
try to keep text simple and change position of it,corners are the worst
places to put text in...
if there are 2 or more words,like in ur v2,keep both close to each other,1 above
other or something like that,use default fonts-those are the best for sure
overall it's nice sig considering ur not in PS for long time

btw,I see ur border has some layers above it...
do everything about layers,add fx and w/e u want,then make border last-
create new layer>apply image>rectangle tool(top left one)>ctrl+A
>stroke...>adjust borde like u want
