ratings and tips (updated)

pls give me some ratings and tips (i'm most interested in the latter, but give me both! lol). i just started on photoshop and i've picked up a few tricks but i'm looking to continue improving, so please give me some pointers and heavy constructive critcism (i can take it :P). below are some of my better work from newest to oldest.

i dunno what to say, none of them are very good IMO, u should try focus on the backgrounds, and text effects, but u are good at cutting chars out

oh and how do you animations? and do you know of any good tutorials out there?

for the background u should better use the sites i gave u for sure i can try brush your own but that take too much time for the text i would make a other color around it dunno how to explain i mean like the edges of the letter so u can read them better (just check my sig ^_^ )

how would you do that? do a border on the text layer and fill it in? and i started using those sites for borders but apparently i dont know how to use them lol.

i toned it down on the first xD. i didnt want a dark siggy hehe, and i thought this setup was perfect for a priest ^_^. this is my first work that i actually really like lol

there is no blend and the pictures look so distorted and unclear. i really have no idea where to start on this.. but everything is just... wrong.
