babek is proberly the best [/b]
i might sound a little arrogant, but i don't think babek is the best

its kind of obvious if u know what techniques he use compared to ppl who use programs like illustrator. i know he uses c4d, but his c4d renders are pretty mediocre. sry babek :P i used to be a noob when i asked u to do my sigs, but eventually its possible to overtake u :P

    I agree but...
I don't use C4d on every sig and I've got about +600 C4D renders(I've made about 6 of them :P) and they're not "mediocre". Illustrator might be nice but I don't really like the look(Same goes sprites, I really hate them).

i know i meant the ones u make r mediocre :P i know u got some reli nice ones xD.

u cannot "don't like" illustrator :P its more important than c4d(in work/tags).. ilustrator is something ur creativity really heightens with seriously u should try it, vectoring is awesome fun(but tedious). satisfying too!

to heim4tail, illustrator is basicaly a more advanced photoshop for u to "create" your own drawings etc.(using the pentool if u're a mouse-user). tablet users do digital painting usually in illustrator as well. sprite = those street-ffight/marvel vs capcom kind of thing...

what pattern aRE you on about?
many patterns in this sig, like many!

    lol.

the red sqwigly lines are just pen lines. > Distort > ripple.

    then have an aouter glow.

diagonal lines are scan lines. basic.

    other patterns are clipping masks.

    what are u on about>?

    they are called scan lines.

    make new layer.
3x3, or 6x6 depending on how big you want the gap.

using pencil tool, make a diagonal line with a 1px tool.
Edit > Define pattern or what ever.

    close.
open sig, image you want the lines on.
    CTRL+A, Edit, Fill.

    Pattern.
And find Scan lines you created.

    Ok,
    play around with settings.
