used to have a friend in hs who wanted to be a car designer...he had something like 100 different car designs all fucking AWESOME and all different from cars out today and all realistic to make and he drew them all using the pen tool with a mouse in illustrator xD hed have something like 200 layers or more for each designi know i meant the ones u make r mediocre :P i know u got some reli nice ones xD.
u cannot "don't like" illustrator :P its more important than c4d(in work/tags).. ilustrator is something ur creativity really heightens with seriously u should try it, vectoring is awesome fun(but tedious). satisfying too!
to heim4tail, illustrator is basicaly a more advanced photoshop for u to "create" your own drawings etc.(using the pentool if u're a mouse-user). tablet users do digital painting usually in illustrator as well. sprite = those street-ffight/marvel vs capcom kind of thing...[/b]
the ones he took time to color would make ur jaw drop ^_^
oh and he drew them all in every dimension he had top views, bottom, side, back, front, diagnol...was fucking amazing how he was able to make them so detailed and how much time he spent on them xD
so illustrator is more on a design sort of base.
where photoshop is really more editing n stuff.
its as their name states rofl -_-so illustrator is more on a design sort of base.

illustrator=drawer=for drawing
photoshop=like a car shop(like a garage type shop not selling shop)=where u tweak, edit, improve photos
example of something done by illustrator?do u got a example?[/b]
work in progress i did. although i'm too lazy to complete it.
@ cama- its possible he has a base so he doesn't keep having to start from scratch. just add details and stuff. still cool though.
thx =)
exactly. well its possible to use the pentool in photoshop for drawing n etc but u will get a better effect if u do it in Illustrator (smoother lines etc)so illustrator is more on a design sort of base.

nope, he brought his laptop to school and worked on them during break, lunch, between classes, etc...he may have done that for some of them but from what i saw most were drawn from scratch@ cama- its possible he has a base so he doesn't keep having to start from scratch. just add details and stuff. still cool though.[/b]
