Either one is fine, self preference. If you have 6k mana without any belt, I'd say go for Iron belt. If you have over 1k AC buffed, go for Glass Belt.

The additional mana is great for 1v1, easier on the potting.

and, i would choose IB/GB for mage, depending on it's other stats.

Iron Belt ofcourse. 20 AC over any INT bonus, especially if ur a int mage. Even if I was paper, with low Mana, I'd still pick the Iron.

The only class I would MAYBE take the glass is Paper BP.

I agree with celtic, people kept on harping which belt is better for who, but IMO, when you choose an item, u have to suit it with your other items and eliminate what you lack. E.g me being a fullplate tanker priest, I have huge HP and mana, so all my accesories needs to be ac booster to compensate for ac loss, hence in this case the 20 ac from IB would be more beneficial for me.

As for Lightning mages, I would pick glass belt, simply because theyre ranged class and they dont stand still and tank max combo damage like warriors/rogues , lightning mages will try to slide with lightning blade or use hit n run tactic or tp a party member to defend them, I think with this style of play, 10 INT and 50 HP would be more beneficial than 20 ac.

+ dont underestimate the power of 50 HP, mages should know this above all, how many times you save a party member by tping them out with 50 HP left :lol:

Again thats just my personal opinion, at the end u always pick what ur most comfortable with.

Ofc. Even tho IB may (proove me wrong) have bugged def, the dmg dif is so little to notice. Tbh, 20 ac doesnt count shit also. However 10 int does already. 50 hp isnt much but dont start with the r dmg story. Even a half braindead can see that it increases ur MAX hp by 50, now imagine whats that good for.

Imo, the AC whoring is so 2006. Think about getting some powah also. That goes for all classes. And now more than ever u actually need some decent resists.[/b]
