Any of you guys had problems with the 360 scratching the disks and then saying the disk wasn't readable? I am having that atm and it would be cool if I could fix it somehow without having to send it in for 1 year :P

Any of you guys had problems with the 360 scratching the disks and then saying the disk wasn't readable? I am having that atm and it would be cool if I could fix it somehow without having to send it in for 1 year :P
i heard it happens when you dont put the cds in the middle of the tray. anyways i just put all my games to my HD so no overheating or loud disc noises. see if another disc works like a music cd. dont want to risk another video game :P

It scratches the disc only when you move the console while playing a game. Makes a huge circle scratch on the disc
yeah, if u jog ur xbox or move it from vertical to horizontal ( vice-versa ) it'll put a nice fat scratch over your disk. it's easy enough to fix, visit your local game shop and they will have a machine that just scratches of the first layer on your disk, iv done it twice to same disc and works fine. costs like 3$

i never moved my xbox while it was on.
i was playing, then a loud noise happened, so i turned my xbox off and i receive big scratches on my CD.

i never had that problem b4 with my 360.... yea it can probably be the way u have ur 360 standing.... change it and see what happens
