    500$ isn't that great of a price, you can easily get games for 10$ off craigslist
    also, yea 60 gig ps3's can play ps2 games but theres gotta be a reason why the newer ones dont (i heard the older ones overheated very easily)

    dunno about the overheating but ive had my 60gig since it was released and i havent had one problem whatsoever i can play PS1 and PS2 games no problems nothing has broken surprisingly and i play it like.... 3-4hrs a day and keep it on 10hrs a day :S

    Was trying to pick up a 60GB for the longest time, ended up getting 40GB + a brand new PS2 LOL

    then few days after I saw a guy posting on craiglist selling 60GB for a similar price

    meh, doesnt really matter to me.

    the old 40gb, 60gb and 80gb models used different hardware for ps1/2 game emulation. In the newer SKUs they removed that feature to make production cheaper. I had an old 60gb, but now I have the old 80gb that does like 97% of the Sony library instead of the 99% 60gb

    ive had mine for a while, no problems, just getting boring now, dont have enough time to play it, just sitting there lol
