I don't know if they are doing it the right way.
i know that they wanna preserve the "freedom of speech", but by attacking people? I don't really think it will help, what do they wanna get out by attacking goverments and churches and Louis Vuitton.
They attacked Westboro Baptist Church in Februari 2011 after that the church said they had been sending threats and closing their website, so Anonymous shut down their website.
They also attacked Louis Vuitton in Mars 2011 and tried to ruin their reputation.

but well after all these attacks they have done, i've seen no difference whatsoever, which just makes it pointless to attack someone without making anything good from it, and how will they change the world?, come on, i don't beleive in what they say at all, it's great that they work to preserve the "freedom of speech" but so far they've only attacked people by closing their websites. I hope that i'll see the difference soon otherwise they are a kinda meaningless group that are just after to ruin for others.

Been a load of arrests in the US and UK over this. It was a 16 year old kid here that got arrested. I think Germany had ppl arrested too.

Yeah, I read about the arrests this morning, but the arrests won't stop Anonymous, in my opinion. I don't believe that even if the police/FBI managed to arrest one of the "leaders", Anonymous would simply find a new "leader". There are lots of people out there.

Anyhow, I wouldn't be able to deal with the FBI either, which is why I don't want to be a part of Anonymous, even if I somewhat agree with them.

I don't beliave they are that organised truth be told. The demographic would be adolencent to young adult males , who see the attacks as something cool. Their political agender is not really to do with much other than keeping the net as their own right to have it their way. Ask any of the more IT savy people about the "hacking" , it's mainly DoS attacks , while the volumes of machines that are able to attack is impressive , the programe made to do it was downloaded by volentry by other users ( I think the kid who wrote that got arressted ). Real hacker have always been a closed in bunch , they key to the game is getting in and getting away with it. These arrests just show how arrogent and wreckless their key members can be.

If they are really visionaries of the net why not hack these child porn sites and hand over the infomation to the police , why not cause mayhem against the people who put bombs around children and tell them that they are going to paradise. While consperiecy theorist love to be anti goverment , I see little more than angery people using the most crudest of methods to promote themselves.

I agree with you that they probably aren't that organized - Like you said, there's probably some "key persons" who write and share the used programs, but I don't believe that arresting those persons will stop Anonymous as there will always be other people who sympathize with Anonymous.
I do also believe that the people who get arrested won't be all of the "key members" as I don't believe that all of the "key members" are little kids and script-kiddies.
And I think that they don't hack child porn sites and act against the jihad people as I think that they might be trying to "get rid" of the "corrupt" governments and companies. As far as I've seen and read, they are trying to keep the Internet non-censored as it was intended before all the companies affected the governments around the world.
