pushups dont really do anything for you, you reach failure to fast. its a good excercise to work the rotater cuffs in your shoulders, but when I want to measure strength, I see how many pullups I can do rather than just pushing 30% of my bodyweight up.

I have the Iron Gym which is exactly like the P90x. Just like any other exercise regiment it takes at least 180 days to notice results.

I got my in preparation for the beach this summer. I have only been doing pull ups and ab crunches with it twice a day for 90-110 days. I noticed a big difference in my abs but nothing really in the upper body area.

People say free weights are best for upper body.

what a load of crap you 2 have bought, you fell for bodybuilding advertisement (which a lot of people do)

go to a gym, get a workout, pump iron, EAT and stick at it = saves you money and wasting time.

Push-ups are shit unless they are weighted, there's no point in doing more than 30 imo.

I have been lifting for 10 years now, did power lifting, now just toning up a little. People don't realize that getting big or tone or whatever you want is 80% diet and also genetics play a big factor.. I never do push-ups, prefer weighted dips, might throw some push-ups in a giant set once in a while tho.
