Oh, nice one. I loved DTB Season 1.
If you don't wanna get disappointed don't bother watching the season 2 (Gemini of the meteor or something). It's nothing like season 1. The OVA's were pretty good but not as good as the season 1 was :P
Also if you enjoy DTB you should check out Kaze no Stigma as well.
I've watched a few and I'm just not feeling it.
Black Lagoon however is fucking kickassreally enjoying it , on episode 8 now

I wish I could recommend you Mecha anime but I hate that genre myself.
Busou Renkin and S-Cry-Ed are the closest thing to mecha I'd ever go.
