Anyone here make beats/music?

Well I been playing around with a Demo version of FL Studio and I think I wanna start producing beats for my friend. We hope to record some stuff and make some music. Maybe turn my room into like a little studio. :lol:
So if anyone here do any of this stuff some tips would be nice. :P

I also check out YouTube and seen people making beats with a MIDI Keyboards and other gadgets. I been looking at this one... http://keyboards-midi.musiciansfriend.com/...oard?sku=700932 ,what you think? Like what other stuff I would need just to start out?

i do
but im big noob
you dont really need a keyboard to make beats
but it sure helps
like if you want to make pure beats
otherwise you can just gather samples
and start from there
i have a keyboard but i never use it
i just mess around with music
putting classics old songs with electronic new sounds

the program i use is free
google : "Acid BeatMaker" or some shit...lol
