Dolores's voice is amazing. One of my favorite songs in which she had vocals in was 'Zombie,' inspired by the death of two boys in Ireland 1 year before it's release.
'Dream,' which she also performed while with "The Cranberries," is one of the best songs of the 90s. It will never get old like how songs by 'Soulja Boy' are two weeks after their release.
'Salvation,' which was about drug use and salvation, is one of the few anti drug songs that seems to have an effect.
Her solo work I haven't heard much of, but from what I have heard I liked "Black Widow," which was supposed to be used in Spider-Man 2. It has one of those 'cultish' overtones to it. I might just buy her album "Are You Listening?"
"Ode To My Family" was great as well. Songs like this make you want to turn back time.
She mentions God a lot in her songs, I don't think she needs to but I guess she believes that she owes some credit to him for her success.
