    it'll be awhile before i own it most likely, but ive been waiting for this since i beat proph(didn't really enjoy any expansion after proph)

    you are thinking of the monthly-fee games.

    those tend to pull off that strategy... but they usually keep their base price.

    pretty sure it wont happen with gw2 either way. this is a quality game, the future of mmos!
