Quick question, why would the developers of Knight Online write a program that appears to be actively searching for dupes every time you upgrade so that you cant upgrade it.
Surely if they have the power to see that its a dupe, they could just delete the item? And not give the person (that now KNOWS its a dupe) the chance to resell it on to another unsuspecting person.
Mind you, not that it suprises me.
Bcuz its K2 and they are lazy asses >_< Maybe it doesnt allow them to trade it either. I dunno.
scanning that every time sum1 uses the anvil...imagine how many times the anvil gets used in a HOUR not even in a full day...server would be lagged to shit from all those scans
you cant delete/upgrade/trade/etc duped items.
Just contact K2 and wait 1week - 1month for they help...
but still better than the actual method

When items are duped, they cant be upgraded/traded or sold, so that way it will keep the items inside the dumbass who duped it. No one would be screwed over thatOriginally posted by Aqu

And again, Im sure the new code is not written that server CONSTANTLY "scanning" entire server for every dupe in realtime, appearently when a dupe has been created, the server register it instantly and "lock" it, so no further action will be available for the duped item.
how is that even possible though? For that to happen, the server has to be looking for dupes contantly. Isnt there enough lag? And most dupe wipes occur when the server is shut down. If this was the happen during Turk hours, the server would explode. Maybe they should just make their servers more stable so that rollbacks occur less or just fix their code if they ever learn turing.Originally posted by C4pt4iN+--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(C4pt4iN)</div><!--QuoteBegin-AquWhen items are duped, they cant be upgraded/traded or sold, so that way it will keep the items inside the dumbass who duped it.
