Security tips for market users

As you all know, a couple years ago we had a security breach after one of our former admins had really bad security. To this day, we keep paying for that mistake since we still see active market users being hacked to later on scam other users. We have done pretty much everything we could do to secure our forum and we believe its secure, but security involves not just us, but you too.

I've posted this plenty of times, but I will do it one more time. If you do USD trades, you are well known member of our community, someone trusted or just someone active around here, your could be a target and your account could be used to scam other users, so please follow these tips:

• If you share your password with other services (email, game, facebook, msn, etc.), please change it to a strong, hard to guess password.
• If you changed your password back to an OLD password, please change it to a strong, hard to guess password.
• If you haven't changed your password in several months, please change it to a strong, hard to guess password.

The worst thing you could do is use the same password for everything or change it back to one you used in the past. If you are using an old password, there's a good chance someone has it already. Don't share your password with the game, other forums and specially the email tied to your forum account!!!.

This is very very basic security. Hope this helps and ppl realize that they need to worry about their own security.

I have always had a little book and use different EMails and Passwords for everything Char and Forum possible, just always keep a log on my notebook. I have never shared any accounts of mine with anyone either. And in like 5 years never lost or been hacked by anyone so it works in my case to keep everything seperate.

Yes Gmail is good, and mobile security helps... but it helps to use separate emails for accounts, and to write down your info on paper instead of saving it to your computer, just in case.

i got my gmail hacked 2 times both times by chineses. at least the second time gmail block everything and only with my phone i could unblock it.

i think it was my fault. nerver use your email for porn.
