my old desktop

i just upgraded a few components like last month ram and video card.

wat i dont understand is how much video memory i have

i bought an nvidia 8400 gs ( it was decent prize and its for the old ass desktop)

the specs i find on the internet say that it has 256 video memory but when i start up the desktop it says 512 mb

also when i look for it on display properties it also points out that i have 512 mb.


sho how much memory do i really have?

It's 512, that program doesn't look really good.

Start -> run -> msinfo32 (or msinfo64 if applicable) -> Components -> Display -> adapter RAM

it only has 256mb, the other 256mb comes from a feature called NVIDIA TurboCache.
