If thats about you, sheesh man, kids comming up in the hallway saying next time ill see you will be at your funeral o.O thats harsh :-/
nice vid really got me thinkin
Hmm interesting movie really
I know its a very difficult thing to understand, and you can't really fathom the sorrow that these wars and scirmishes have brought upon these cities, these countries, and eventually, the impact they will have on the world, unless you have been there, and have seen what is going on. My uncle in-law just got back to Iraq, and he brought a cam-corder with him and brought back footage that was unreal. You really get a sense of what these guys are putting themselves through to better our nation (My uncle in-law is from the U.K. so don't think this is just for the people in the U.S.)
I think patriotism is one of the most compelling feelings a human being can have. It is like love, faith, and other things of this nature, but it can be much more tangible because your there, experiencing the loss of life, and your a witness of the negative things battle brings. To those who ask you for a reason, or don't understand, fuck them, they dno't know what its like to be patriotic. And I hope I'm not the first to say this if that was you in this movie, or this movie was about you, but I personally thank you for your patriotic ways, our country would be nothing without those who are willing to FIGHT for it.
took me a year to adjust to military lifestyle. the long distance makes you miss home, the 5min phone calls you are allowed to make, months you cant see your family and your loved ones, but remember my brother, we will be your new family and we are all here to support each other. you need not worry. thank you for the decision you made to not only protect your family but to protect everyone else in our homeland and maybe spark a little bit of hope to those in need

today was graduation, and the principal was giving a speech about the people joining the armed forces, and the only ones that were joining the marines were me and an acquitance of mine named phil, the principal asked us to stand and we did. he explained what we were doing in the military gave a brief speech and then everyone started clapping, then one of my friends stood, then the entire class stood for about 1 minute clapping to both me and phil, i had friends of mine i hadnt talked to in over 3 years shaking my hand. was one of the best moments in my life. and i realized that not only was i going to leave home, but i was going to the only home i ever wanted to be in.
