It is not a bug that lets you exp past 100%... its just that he killed a mob which gave him like more exp then he needed to lvl.

All you need is a pet^^ the higher lvl pet are the higher lvled mob you can kill the more exp you get which end up with MUCH %^^
at lvl 2 i think i had over 2k%^^

Like other people said, go put a lvl 40 pet on a lvl 1 char and kill an ash knight or dts. You'll be at 3k+%
