    Default European Roulette strategies?

If you know the game, you might know the red/black strategy where, in theory, you can only win.
    It works like this:
You bet 1$ on black, get black, win > 2$
    Or
You bet 1$ on black, get red, lose, you bet 2$ on black again. If you win now, you get 4$ and first rounds loss is neutralized.

Now, mathematically, it makes sense, but do casinos allow this strategy? Not talking about online casinos, real ones, where you have the ball and the table physically.

i dont think thats a win win...i dont know about european roulette but in normal roulette there is 00, where you will lose everything. I guess in theory if you keep doubling up, eventualyl youll break even on your loss, but because of the 00, in the long run you'll lose since it is not exactly 50 50.
there is no true winning game in the casino..except poker where you take other ppl's money but with a rake fee

Your allowed to do it. You can also put one set of chips over a few numbers but you lower you ratio.

It dose not matter where you are , the casino ALWAYS wins.

I don't get it...in the long run, you will most likely break even...but in the short run isn't it just a gamble like all the other games? Also why play to break even?

0 is like normal loss, if you get 0, you just say it's the opposite color from which you bet.
Now you have 1$ on red, you get 0 = black.
The chances of getting 0 twice in a row is almost 0 too.
And you don't play to break even.
you play for the long run and for win.

    Let's simulate on 1 win 1 loss

    5$ on red, win > 10$ (+5$)
    5$ on black, lose > -5$ (0$)
    10$ on black, win > 20$ (+10$)
    5$ on red, lose > -5$ (+5$)
    10$ on red, win > 20$ (+15$)
    5$ on black, lose > -5$ (+10$)
    10$ on black, win > 20$ (+20$)

It's slowly but you will make money out of it. In this example we play for not much money but think about it if you go on with 1000's over 5 hours. I mentioned this trick because it's sooooo simple compared to counting on blackjack which is more risky.

As for online casinos: I read that many online casinos started to manipulate roulette in order to make the player lose more.

why r u placing 5$ on lose and 10$ on win? kind of make no sense to me ...
also 50% doesn't mean that you win every 2nd time ... you can as well lose 10 times in a row if u're unlucky

Once you lose, you double the bet on same colour. And you always double when you lose

    5$ on black > lose
    10$ on black > lose
    20$ on black > lose
    40$ on black > lose
    80$ on black > win > 160$-80$= 80$ win

    you lost 5, 10, 20, 40, earlier
    5 + 10 + 20 + 40 = 75
    80$ - 75$ = still +5$
So even if you have baaaad luck for a while, this method makes you only win. If this is allowed in real casinos, gotta test

Must been very unlucky your friend. 3-4 times same color is ok, but then it's getting really unlucky.

50/50 on first time, second round chances of one color is 0.5x0.5= 0.25 then 0.125

its flawed logic. just calculate the probability. Red is not 50% and black is not 50%. Because of 00, its slightly less. so in the long run, you will lose.
They set a limit to how much you can bet at once on the table, so if you get unlucky and your double up is higher than the limit, you lose.

Good argument. Does the limit vary on every table, or is there a set limit? If you say you will lose on the long run because of 00, then you are wrong, you will just win less.

I prefer to go out to the dogs

In the UK it's pretty big to go greayhound racing. Normally they do 11 races per evenng and it's just so much fun.

When I go over to Ireland I like to gamble on the horse racing , I like to have the odd bet on football matches and other sporting events. I recently started to learn how to play real poker at my friends pub. They have a proper poker night every thursdays and it's the most fun I had in ages.

how do you win less? your odds of winning is lower in both cases. Every time you play, the chance for you to win is LESS than 50%. Overall, you will lose. Its that simple lol. Yea, you can play these tricks etc etc. But think of it this way...the chance of you losing is greater than 50%. Which means in the long run, you will lose.
