A GENERAL DISCUSSION forum is for progressive, contributive discussion in the interest of a significiant amount of the members who actively partake in the forum, or a point that stimulates such discussion. General Chat is established as the GENERAL DISCUSSION forum for Knight Online.
What does this mean? This means: ["it" referring to the thread]
1. No "fact" questions. Discussion is for things that have not been established as fact already, unless the fact is being discussed as erroneous, or incorrect. These questions belong in a "question" forum, not a discussion forum.
2. The discussion must be contributive. That is, it must not be pointless and mindless - opinionated discussion is encouraged (that is, opinion that does not strictly offend others). It must have a valid purpose (at the discretion of the moderators).
3. It must be in the interest of a significant number of the members. That is, people have to actually care. If nobody cares, then it's a pointless discussion.
4. It must be current, and up-to-date. Out of date discussions are pointless.
5. It should have not been identically addressed before. Unless the point is STILL valid and was discussed a LONG time ago, it should not be brought up again. There must be a valid reason for bringing up a point already discussed before (again, at the discretion of the moderators).
