    selam is the turkish version of salaam, etc. it originates from arabic.

    salaam = A respectful ceremonial greeting performed mostly in Islamic countries

    selam = Hello


    And I am guessing so salaam peace out. :P

    Selam = salaamin alaykum... salaam is arabic... (means may god's protection upon u)
