    the most intelligent person/people

    Soctreties
    Newton
    Einstine
Bell ( Made the first Telephone )
Stephen Hawkins ( You need to be fairly inteligent to even start to grasp his theories )
I actually work with some highly intelligent people ,

Proffer Paul Wordsworth , Proffer Andrew Carr , Mr Peter Burge , Proffer Jermary Fairbank and the list goes on and on.

To use the term Smart is actually a very un-inteligent term to use.[/b]
Technically Bell didnt make the first telephone he stole the idea from a peasant :P (Bell couldn't get the sound outputting correctly :P)
Try reading the universe in a nutshell whilst pissed thats fun :P

Most scientists would say either Newton or Einstein, since they probably had the broadest impact on science. Personally I think that Carl Friedrich Gauss was the smartest person who ever lived.

Einstein tapped into a realm of humanity that wont be understood for centuries. His cognitive ability still baffles scientists today. He was a genius at everything, not just math and physics. As he quoted "Equations are more important to me, because politics is for the present, but an equation is something for eternity." I'm sure if he wanted to be a an amazing politician, he would have. And I believe the same goes for anything. His Brain > all. ^_^

So? If you look at all the great minds, inventors, religious leaders, artists, etc...they come from all over this great world of ours. Nationality doesn't make you great, your actions are what define you.
