Jörmungandr aka midgard serpent aka world serpent

norse mythology...a son of loki the serpent was tossed into the water at a young age and grew until it was able to circle the whole earth and reach its tail...at ragnarok(end of the world more or less) jormungandr and thor fight to the fight, thor kills it then as walking away dies to its poison
