Not necessarily. . .however for those that have never been in a clan that utilizes VOIP (ventrilo, teamspeak etc.) miss alot in the overall cohesion of the clan. Not withstanding the great communication in wars and pk, you have a more intimate (pervs..not like that) bond with your clannies.

Short story longer, if you're a good player and know your job, and it's obvious not using ventrilo doesn't hinder you or the clan, then I can live with it.

In my experience, (I say this because I'm guilty of it myself) a "VOIP clan" tends to neglect clan/ally chat. And in turn, no mic/no vent clannies feel neglected.

Just buy a mic, n00bie ^_^
