1st and very basic tip, do mot put ur focul in the centre, instead push it a lil to the right or left, that will improve compo
secondly dont rely on c4ds, fractals only for the effects, the filter gallery is your frend, use it

Its better than the previous ones you've done but its too empty....
Mebbe and some effects to it = )
Do a filter - distort - displace
then make a new layer apply your image on it and do a gausian blur about 1 px
erease your focal aka your render and bit o the efects
then make a new layer apply your image on it and shapren the whole thing
erease you bg but dont touch the focal or the effects you wanna keep sharp

dude dont listen to these guys they have no clue, the first sig you've made is pretty nice it maybe only smudging, but its good smudging, its plan and simple and that is what its suppose to look like from my point of view, great piece
