First you have to go to Knight Online website
Second go to "Download game" and download Directx 9.0
Third you have to unzip that file, then install it.
It will fix that prob, dont know how but it fixes it :lol:

I always thought the error occured because of like server stress or whatever, FTPOpen Error, I always interpreted as your computer sending a command, to ignitiate an FTP File Transfer (ie: Patch Update). The server being over loaded, or unable to send that file, hence sending you back to the error that your request to Open the File thru File Transfer Protocol, has failed. What's worked for me in the past at resolving this problem, is trying again!
I don't know much about computers, I'm far from an expert. Just what I interpreted. But by all means, if re-downloading DirectX everytime or only once? solves the problem... Play on playa.
i think you have to download Directx again when you got this error again :P
If you have ftp open file error.
Go to this ftp site: ftp://download.knightonlineworld.com/knight/upgrade/
Save the latest ZIP file patch into c/programfiles/knightonline
Click on the launcher, it will down the latest patch and you can play the game again
Alot easier in my eyes :mellow:
or just unzip it to c/program files/knight online, than at same place start options, modify the current version to the version what the patch is and click 'Contents of the Update' and click yes after. And it'll start without having to autopatch again

It says that there's no such file in the directory.
You have another link maybe to manual patch dls?
Edit: Nvm i found it.
Restart PC has always helped me with all teh problems i get with KO.
