If you like robots and customization then you may like Armored Core For Answer, you pilot mechs that fly around at over 1000mph in a 3rd person shooter.
Its a bit different than most games and it takes time to get good at the game, I find it to be very fun but its 'you either love it or hate it'.

it has only multiplayer online shooting, but its fucking addictive and fuckin awesome.
