for now i wouldn't advice anyone to switch to vista.

it only supports half of the older games, most games just simply won't work. you get like a security warning message for EVERYTHING you do, and it gets really annoying after a while.

just download a good xp skin so it looks like vista. that way you have a reliable (keep in mind it's still made by micro$oft :P) OS with a nicer graphic interface (the 3D switching between diffrent programs etc.)[/b]

You can turn UAC off :P

If you got your pc last year, it should have either come with a XP reformat/install cd, or a Factory Default dvd. You can always upgrade to vista, try it out and if you hate it ( you cant just give it one day and decide ) then go back to xp

Myself, I like Vista it's never caused me problems and it wasn't that large of a change from XP
