to put it short: sherion +8 is obviously better.

i dont really get wat makes u ppl thinks shard is better than sherion in any different way.
looking from the stats aspect, theres nothing a shard +8 got that a sherion +8 doesnt. sherion +8 only offers more (except the health requirement).
having 15 sword defense is obviously better than none at all, regardless of its usefulness. 21% dodge will serve u really good vs mobs, and then the 13 strength, if u are using the old style pots, then it can help u carry a few extra cure pots maybe, another thing that never hurts to have.
the last thing is the 100 glaicer vs 80 poison, i saw someone posted a list of different uniques with their resistances against these 2 elements. now this might turn to another one of these unsolvable "which is better, cleaver +9 or shard +8" discussion, but as far as ive tested resistances, it indicates that resistances hardly have any impact on the damage reduction, at least not as much as melee weapon defense.

I say keep the Sherion+8

In RLB and CZ, people will be using iron sets that have neither poison or glacier defense so the elemental aspect will be pretty much negated. Combine the sherion +8 with a personal +7 and you will be kicking azz.
