I think the original "thought" by the game designers was that the gem rate would go down and lower levels would farm them, thus making it worth the lower levels to farm/exp and make money selling the gems to higher levels. Looks good in theory but the truth is the ones benefiting are the giant koxp parties and koxper overnighters...

I personally don't think that it should be this hard to get them, but it shouldn't be all that easy either.
