The best medicine is prevention. Smoking is a personal choice. If I was in charge of assigning surgeries, and there was someone who had developed lung cancer after 30 years of smoking one pack a day, and a mother of three who needed ulcers removed from her stomach, I would put the mother in front of the smoker in a heartbeat.

I just can't wait for the day when there are private insurance accepted-only hospitals and government healthcare intern run hospitals.

I've decided what I wanna say! I've remembered something I learned a long time ago. It doesn't matter wtf any one says about me, the company I keep, where I come from, or the values I represent. I'm not exactly happy with my life atm, it could do with some improvement, but that's not my country's fault. The point of my post is to show that, yes, there are problems with our country, but if you take a look at it from an average person's point of view, many of the problems you speak of don't have much if any effect on our lives. I do think things could be improved, but if they stayed the same, it wouldn't hurt me any, sure, you would still talk shit, but who cares? I got everything I want, and have endless opportunities in my reach, and I doubt these opportunities would be available everywhere else. Where else can a person who graduated as an average student reach such heights? And if you're country stayed on the course it's on now, would you remain happy? I know I would, I see change in my country's future, things getting a lot better. If you're happy, then why do you care? If you aren't happy, then what is it that causes this? Is it your own fault, some assholes fault, or your countries? If it's yours, then get ur ass out of that hole and stfu, if it's some assholes fault, then go kick his/her ass, and if it's your countries fault, then do something about it and stfu. The second is to get a tougher skin. You can do this by rubbing 20grit sand paper all over your body for 2 hours a night. After a while you’ll be a calloused freak show that’s physically damn near fireproof. People will call you Elephant Man and Turtle Boy but only behind your back because you’ll look scary as hell.

It’ll be this constant barrage of verbal attacks combined with the fact that you’re now even more of a social outcast which will help build your mental ability to take any kind emotional abuse and store it deep within your carapace like body where it will boil into an unstoppable rage. Your rage will undoubtedly be released on an unwitting populace some time in the near future but don’t worry about getting in trouble. Just tell folks you played too much Grand Theft Auto. Before you know it you’ll end up in a nice soft room where people will talk to you in low soothing voices. As an added bonus any time life gets too hard they’ll give you a shot that makes all of your problems go away for at least a few hours.

The point to the are you happy question was that, what you said, no one here seems very happy. But they think that by pointing out other peoples/countries problems they can feel better about themselves. Im sure alot of US shale oil is uneconomically viable to extract. More then half of the words gold deposit is under the see, but that doesn't mean we can extract it and sell it at a profit. So theres no point in counting it in your figures until it can be.
