Play Knight Online on your Mac!

Get Parallels Desktop program - http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/
Get Windows XP, I have only tested Windows XP and it works for me just fine.

Install Parallels Desktop, once you're at the part where you install Windows XP, please do so.

Start-up Windows XP when it's ready.
Download KO.
Install KO.

See if you can run KO on a Mac using Windows XP on Parallels Desktop if not read below.





***If you're having trouble loading Knight Online Client on Windows XP with Parallels Desktop on Mac...***

Go to Run - type in regedit - go to find "VideoBiosVersion" - right click on it to Modify, copy n paste this bold line as is:

NOBOX__ VGA-Compatible BIOS Version 3.02111.87921

into that "VideoBiosVersion"

This is needed to fix the Video Compatibility drivers with Mac and Windows.

It's very easy and simple for anyone to do, really...

The only issue is that on the Mac for Knight Online...the video card is not compatible to play PC Games but the instructions above shall allow you to play KO itself on Mac.

Yes, correct Adi

For gaming, FPS is not the best choice to pick with Mac but for me, I use for "multi-clienting" - to transfer items between accounts/chars or genie in a party to exp all of my chars on 1 server.

Hint: I have been genie on my archer for 2 hours using my Mac and no dc yet.

Worked perfectly, am on now with about 40fps and no problems

*Edit* TUrned off shadows and turned down focus and now 60fps on the latest macbook

Haha nice...I do know that KO runs on Mac for sure and to report my findings, I have not been disconnected at all and I'm far by more than impressed with FPS. I lowered focus and turned off shadows and KO works fine with a mouse and keyboard...cant combo on a laptop lol

is your perfect solution for video issue on game drivers for compatibility. Even though the sad part is when you reboot the OS, you gotta re-apply the NOBOX settings again in regedit - VideoBiosVersion - just a heads up boys and girls. happy mac gaming to all!
