Is the cat going up or down the stairs, my opinion is up, what about you?

Seems to me like the cat is going down. Judging based on how stairs are made. And also on cat's movement. Seeing plenty cats taking stairs daily lol, thats how they move down the stairs

Obviously going up. The angle of the camera makes it evident, the cat would be in a way too steep position if it was descending.

Also there's a shadow beneath its paw (the light would have to be coming from a rather inconvenient angle).

It's probably going down actually though, since these kids love to modify a picture to make it look like the obvious answer is out there, but in reality they only made it seem that way, in order to mock you and brag about their baby photoshop abilities.
