I sold my Alpina a little while ago. I now drive.....
It's a Subaru Impreza P1 , this was a limited edition Impreza that was done by Prodrive for the UK market only. There was 1000 made and mine is build number 007 Mine was one of 3 press cars Prodrive loaned out and you can see my very car on youtube being driven by British motoring journilist.
The car has a full Blitz NUR Type R stainless exhuast system with a decat , and larger dump valve. The car has been remapped for 99RON petrol. The car is running at 315bhp and it can do 0-60 mph in about 4.1 . The car has a close ratio gear box and short shift change , 1st gear is a straight cut cogg to deal with the torque , so I have to do left foot breaking when changing down.
Other features are the front splitter and rear spoiler which were designed by the same man who did the McLaren F1 , and at 100mph the P1 uses about 5-6bhp less than the equivilent Type-R vertion. The steering rack is much faster which gives the car a very responsive feel at the front , and requires only the smallest of movement to turn. I have Blitz guages on the centre which show from left to right , Oil temp , oil pressure and turbo boost. I also have a Blitz digital turbo timer and engine bay temp sensor.
The P1 is very similar in style to the Japan/US Type - R but the P1 has ABS , and uses LSD for traction rather than the active drive system found on it's counterpart from Japan , the power is a 60/40 split with the bias towards the rear. There is a carbon fiber strut brace in the engine bay. The turbo is a Stage 2 setup which helped give the car a 280bhp in standard trim. Most Impreza's come with around 220-260bhp. The final touch are the Prodrive Reacaro racing bucket seats which are soooooooo comfortable and hold you in when pushing the car , like all impreza's the P1 is able to do bends at insainly fast speeds and only when you really push it the car starts to get a hint of understeer.
Currently driving an Audi A6 2000 1.8T, chip tuned to 200hp. Picking up this baby in 2 weeks:
