i believe soo...he has been swimming with water going into his goggles which is like WOW
he is going to be a great story to hear about in the future

but i also agree with the people that are saying that people are going to accuse him of using the drugs

The guy is a freak, theres no doubt about that. I have a problem with him being dubbed "The Greatest Olympian Ever", not to take away his deserved fame and pure pwnage at what he does, but he has an unfair advantage over all other athletes at the olympics. No other sport can you enter in as many events as swimming, therefore "The Greatest Olympian Ever" will only ever be a swimmer. If you were to put as many events in track then a runner could get just as many medals, but simple fact is a swimmer has more events and thus the chance to win alot of medals.
    ie swimming has:
    Breaststroke
    Backstroke
    Butterfly
    Freestyle
Relay mixed blah blah and then all in diff lengths
    100m
    200m
    300m
    400m
    and so on
where as a runner can only run in diff distances
a shot putter can only shot put
a high jumper can only jump
    a cyclist can only cycle.....
btw, Phelps is now at 11 golds.

Yeah, he's definitely one of the best Olympians of all time.

But have you heard about what he eats for breakfast?

    1. Three sandwiches of fried eggs, cheese, lettuce, tomato, fried onions, and mayonnaise
    2. One omelet
    3. A bowl of grits
    4. Three slices of French toast with powdered sugar
    5. Three chocolate chip pancakes

Apparently, he consumes 8,000 - 10,000 calories per day.

Hats off to the guy , he winning gold in so many different swimming events. For me Lewis was a better Olympian because he did his golds over a larger number of Olypmic games. Being on top for over 12 years which is amazing.

I doubt Phelps will go on for much longer after this as he will be getting too old.

NBC said 16,000, but have you heard about his work outs? When he wakes up he eats, then he swims all day untill 6 (I am pretty sure), and then he eats again, sleeps, and repeats. He probably burns 16,000 calories.
