My school has two types of connections - wired and wireless. When I was getting this login error, i just switched from my wired connection to the wireless connection and I could connect. It has to do with your ip address. The reason why I say this is because when I switched to my wireless connection, I received a different ip address. However, when I switched back to the wired connection (my IP address went back to what it was when I couldn't connect), I could no longer connect and was getting the same error again. I switched back again to the wireless connection and I could once again connect.
