i dont know. i've used both and i prefer TS. Vent is alot clearer but i hate the toys lol. But you can get alot of looting back in TS if you dont have your settings right.

I prefer TS, simple to use and I've really never experienced any bad sound in TS compared to Vent.

Ventrillo is better quality and has more options, but I have problems with people being too faint, even with preferences turned to 400, and others are fine, then some are way too loud. Even after I adjust individual settings the quantity of people we have in our clans server to set them for each one is a pain. Even after that I still have poeple who are too faint.

I played with the gain settings for the entire system, then usually end up with ear splitting feedback.
Ive tried all the suggestions from the Vent site, and end up with the same result.

the reason for that is probably that the other ppl have different lvls of outbound, just ask those loud voice guys to lower their outbounds.
i used both, and in my opinion vent is much better.
i never really managed to handle TS very good, and till now i dont know how to make it so u need to press a button if u want to talk, but vent is easier for me.

well...i prefer vent for playing KO but if u need good ping for playing somethink like counter strike then use Teamspeak...

it means vent= high quality but bad ping on anythink else
teamspeak= good quality but almost same ping then with out using it

o.O i use vent for cs and have for a few years.. never have i had a bad ping.
