I very highly doubt they will, they're not going to completely alienate new players by requiring them to spend money before they can even try the game. Also you won't be required to buy NPoints just to trade/merchant or whatever on the Steam server.

AP is the main factor for staff damage on everything. Yes elemental does factor in, but not at the rate the staff ap does. Low ap staffs with high elemental will always hit less than high ap staffs with low elemental. The ratio to ap/elemental damage is really skewed in favor of staff ap.

Staff ap for 18, and delos staff is good for everything

.... really? Mp and elemental is meaningless with 18 lvl skill, there is 100 dmg difference with 200 more MP.

So if I'm trying to xp (in which case I'm not gunna be using my staff to hit very often) I'll want a WOE yes?

AP > MP > Ele damage, your priority is a staff with high AP in almost all situations.
