Stereotyping all republicans... It takes a man bathing in the blissfulness of ignorance to be able to openly believe that a title defines a person. Equally enough, to believe that one man can define a title of which encompasses a mass of people. Does Osama Bin Laden represent all muslims? No. does OJ Simpson represent all black people? No. Does Jessica Simpson represent all white females? No. So why, then, is it so easy for people to say that Bush is the standard for all republicans? Voting for a man because of his title, skin color, or religion is a ridiculous and its a sure-fail way to elect somebody; voting for somebody because of the morals and philosophies is a sure-win way to vote. I really hope you didn't vote for Obama because of how badly Bush performed. If you did, your ideas on this subject are absolutely meaningless to me, and should be meaningless to most.[/b]
The MAJORITY of your party is an utter joke and were wrong. There are a few moderates that are reasonable as well as people like Ron Paul who knows what he is talking about within your party.

The problem is the neocons are the MAJORITY of your party.

The past 8 years nearly everything your party has done has been the WRONG thing to do.

You know why I have barely posted in this thread? Because there would be no point. People like you, Private, elucid, and bombshell are so fully indoctrinated by the right for whatever reason that you will never change your opinion no matter how many times you are repudiated. It would have been like talking to a wall.

During most of your near incoherent response you put words in my mouth without even realizing your own ignorance. There are people worse or as worse as Bush that are in your party, namely Sarah Palin, Karl Rove, Ted Stevens, Elizabeth Dole, Dick Cheney and these are just the ones that are in the spotlight during this election. The John McCain during the campaign would also make that list, before this campaign I would not list him among the trash above. His concession speech in some ways redeemed him but ironically it completely repudiated nearly his entire campaign.

The thing I'm scared the most about with Obama is getting attacked here on US soil again. I mean why would any of the terrorist organizations stop gunning for us just because we said HEY! we don't wanna fight... comon now fella's. He has poor military knowledge of really anything, and it's gonna cost us big time.

And about his tax plan its all great and good if it was actually going to work and give 95% of Americans and tax break... but hey guess what? ITS NOT

The only people who will get money are the people that don't have jobs and live off welfare or anything like it.

It's going to be a regretful day for quite a few Americans when we get attacked again.

Obama has advisors that far outweigh any possible positive McCain has on his supposed foreign policy. Seriously stop, you're only making your party seem more ignorant. PLEASE LOOK OUTSIDE YOUR OWN PARTY'S IDIOTIC RHETORIC.

Also you can contend that McCain has some foreign policy experience from his time in the senate but to even act like his experience in the military means absolutely ANYTHING in reference to being President is laughable. And I know I'm going to be called names for saying this, because I already have above. There's no doubt that McCain is an American Hero for what he did during his time as a PoW and his service to the country. BUT, to consider this as something that will help him govern better is a JOKE.

During the majority of his military service he crashed SEVERAL planes and most of the incidents were due to PILOT INCOMPETENCE. He was ranked 894 out of 899 in his naval academy class and the only reason he went ANYWHERE in the navy was due to his father and grandfather being retired Admirals. Again, he is an American Hero but that has NOTHING to do with his ability to govern. My own father served in the navy and I am proud of him just like any of our men and women stationed around the world.

In the event we are attacked I would feel MILES more comforted with Obama in the whitehouse as opposed to someone who has shown in the past and has stated his penchant for gut decisions and jokes around about BOMBING Iran... Has no idea that we are allied with Spain... need I go on?

And no, you are completely misinformed about Obama's taxplan. People making under 200k$ a year will not have their taxes raised and will recieve a tax break. People over 200k$ a year will see their taxes go up 3% which isn't even as extreme as the Clinton tax plan over 8 years ago.

Not sure but i think the house is white for a reason. Our colors on the flag mean something, I forgot what the color means though. (was changing my schedule during the time ROTC was going over the colors)

It's a big day for world politics and world relations.

Obama is correct where he says that change hasn't taken place. All that has happened is that he has been given the opportunity to do so.

Some say this has blown the doors of racism, but has it? Im sure there were white people who didn't vote for Obama simply because of his race. Is not the definition of racism, using a persons skin colour as a discriminatory factor? Why then does it take a black man to be nominated to convince all the extra black people in the USA to vote? Why should 98% of black people in the US vote for Obama? Racism works two ways. It is true this is significant because it shows that the white person overall is willing to vote in an ethnic minority as president. But the day when black, asians etc turn up to vote with the same enthusiasm when two white people are nominated will truely be the days when race is not a factor.

AUDIO, maybe its wrong to say that McCain was following GWB's policies. But the facts do not lie. 90% of the time he agreed with GWB. Does that not imply that 90% of his decisions as president would be what GWB would have done?

I do however fully agree that race/religion/size/height/hair colour etc should not be the reason for voting someone in. It should be 100% on their policies.

But at the same time, i feel this election was different. I don't live in the USA, i live in the UK, but i understand the significance of todays election results. Although it may not be politically correct, i think this election was still mainl to do with politics, but at the same time, this election had another purpose. To send a message to the outside world about the US. That is what has made this election different. And i do think on this one occasion, voting based on race was INEVITABLE. Next time, if Obama truely suceeds in eradicating racism, it will not be so. Black voters will not vote on just one candidate.

I really hope you liberals get what you want, now that we dont have checks and balances. Law by law we will slowly turn, until one day you wake up in a socialistic society.

I got to recon, I bet half of you here don't really know what socialism is, and the other half might have a clue but I wont bet on you guys knowing it.

This isn't democracy vs socialist, it's capitalism vs socialism. However we've never been a free capitalist country because we've always had regulations at it's minimum, even with Bush. Just because you increase government involvement doesn't mean we are getting rid of capitalism. Capitalism will remain but with more regulations, so the stupid rich people won't make the same mistakes and have us bail them out again (that's socialism).

The bail out plan was more socialism than Obama's plan. If you want to complain about socialism, then write a letter to all the people who voted for the bail out which included, McCain and Obama.

How about the taxes we pay for that we don't use? Couples without kids shouldn't pay property tax, because that's funded into the education system. If they don't have kids then why should they pay the taxes that will fund the public schools? That's socialism too!

How about people who doesn't want to go to war with Iraq, yet the money is coming from taxpayers, which mean they pay it also. That's socialism too!

However we pay taxes because it's for the common good, we don't want to live in a society with uneducated people. Also we want to support our troops with the best armors and weapons so we have to pay for that. Bail out plan? We don't want a chance of millions of people on the street...hard choice.

If Democrats only had control of the house for the last 2 years, that mean the Republicans had control with Bush for 6 years. Why no one complained about check and balance then?
