Because the US is currently the most important country there is. There for attracting attention of every other country in the world.
Because the media makes americans look like warmongering, less intelligent people with no knowledge of anything that happens outside of their country. Programs beeing broadcasted here(Belgium or Europe if you will) about the US are usually about either bad education, a criminal society, racism and loads of other stuff that makes americans look stupid.
Then there's just shallow people that see something like a teenager killing people at school on the news and immediately think it's like that everywhere in the US.

It is rare for someone to do something for someone else without any possible benefits in return. It is impossible for a country to help another country for the sake of helping. Everyone wants something. It's how they reflect the light around them that makes the people see them as good or bad.

But no seriously there is good people and bad people in every society. Our nation is mostly stereotyped by most other countries due to the fact that parts of our country is extremely ignorant and uneducated. But yet I could make that statement about any other country and It could still hold some validation. As for the fact that you blame our country for such an act of invading Iraq, I can not blame you.
